BENOÎT HAMON, THE LOST OPPORTUNITY
The victory of Benoît Hamon in January 2017 at the left wing primary surprised everyone, including the dinosaurs of the Socialist Party. They never got over it. All along the presidential campaign, Benoît Hamon stayed a rebel. All his comrades left him aside one by one, until he lost with the worst score of the Socialist Party since Gaston Defferre in 1969.
